Being IN our lives it can be hard to see how we ca

Being IN our lives it can be hard to see how we can do anything differently. And that applies to little and big things.

We often tell ourselves a story of why we CAN’T too.

HOW can I get more sleep? It’s impossible because of…

We have clutter BECAUSE we have no closets, 5 kids, are busy, etc, etc. it’s just the way it is

I’m NEVER going to make more money, it’s just not possible in my job

And it really is hard to see the other possibilities, to see a way of getting out of where we don’t want to be any more, for two reasons.

One, making small changes and doing little things differently seems ineffective. We don’t believe making a small difference will impact us in a big way. And two, it’s outside of what is familiar, our brains don’t see the alternatives.

But the truth is, to be more intentional about how we live and to create change we have to take action. And we are the only ones who can create the change we want, which is scary and empowering. You absolutely CAN but also only YOU can 😬

One thing I’ve learned is essential about letting go and changing your relationship with stuff for good, is also learning about safety.

We can’t separate our subconscious beliefs, how our nervous system responds and where our relationship with stuff was built.

So if you grew up with a deep sense of scarcity, you need to slowly learn it is safe to NOT have.

If you have experienced trauma or loss, take your time letting go.

Or if what was normalized for you in childhood is not how you want to live now, take time to unlearn and do something different.

There is no race. No benchmark of when you ‘should’ anything. Only your own timeline, your own learning and your own version of letting go.

It’s okay however you do it, just remember, it’s safe. Keep telling yourself, keep taking action and showing yourself and keep investing in something different.

Our environment is a reflection of our self love and self worth. You can create something beautiful and meaningful to you ✨

Clutter is overwhelming and it’s doubly overwhelming if you’ve tackled it before and then found yourself back in the same place again.

And when we’ve tried and feel like we’ve failed, the script in our heads can get pretty negative.

But here’s the thing, no effort is wasted. No attempt is ever in vain. With each try, each round of attempting change, we learn.

Clutter is not just stuff. It’s everything we believe about ourselves, our belief of our inner value, our self worth, what was normalized in childhood, habits we haven’t learned yet.

And all is possible. It’s possible for you to clear your clutter for good. It’s possible for you to move out of this stuck place you find yourself in.
